Does SouthWest Transit operate on holidays?

SouthWest Transit offers services on select federal holidays. See THIS PDF for a full list of 2025 holidays and operation statuses.

How much are fares?

For SW Transit (Bus Routes) fares, click HERE.

For SW Prime (On-Demand Rideshare) fares, click HERE.

SW Shuttle (Special Events) fares: $6 round-trip per person, children 5 & under and disabled veterans ride free!

Is there a discount for those with disabilities?

Persons with disabilities ride for $1.00 at all times on all SouthWest Transit express routes. To qualify, show your Metro Mobility card or transfer, Metro Transit temporary ID, Minnesota driver’s license/state ID with an “A” or “L” endorsement. For information on certification, call 612-349-7415. NOTE: All SouthWest Transit express buses are ADA accessible. Please tell the driver BEFORE YOU PAY YOUR FARE if you qualify for a reduced fare.

How do I go from your park & rides to my local work address?

Call SW Prime at 952-797-7463 to request a ride.

I want to take SW Prime to get to my final destination after getting off a SW transit bus. What do I do?

When getting off your bus, request a “Prime” transfer ticket from your bus driver. You may also request transfers from SW Prime drivers for the SW Transit buses!

What Sporting Events Do you go to?

We go to Twins, Gophers, Vikings, Timberwolves, and Wild games. Event information can be found here.

I need to get to a specific location downtown, but I don’t know where I should get off the bus. What should I do?

Can I bring my cat or dog if it is in a carrier?

Other than service animals and emotional support animals, SouthWest Transit does not allow animals on our vehicles.
