2nd Shift Vehicle Diesel Technician/Mechanic Medium & Heavy Bus/Truck 2nd SHIFT, PAID ASE TESTING.
SouthWest Transit, an award-winning public Transit Agency serving the cities of Eden Prairie, Chanhassen and Chaska is seeking a 2nd shift experienced technician to work on transit buses and motor coaches in our fleet maintenance department at our Eden Prairie maintenance facility. The salary range is up to $32 depending on qualifications.
Qualifications include graduation from high school with two years of vehicle technical training or experience in vehicle maintenance, including diesel-powered vehicles, and one or more additional years of maintenance work experience on heavy duty vehicles, preferably transit type vehicles. Welding skills are preferred. Will consider an advanced level automotive technician with a desire to learn. Possession of a Minnesota Commercial Driver’s License, A or B class, with passenger and air brake endorsement and a valid medical examiners certificate is required or must be obtained within three months after hire. Computer use and keyboarding skills are required. This is a safety sensitive position requiring random drug and alcohol testing during employment.
